Diljit Dosanjh is one of the actors of the industry, who gradually is making his mark in the field with his versatility. He made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Udta Punjab’, a serious social drama, then in ‘Phillauri’ he was in a romantic genre, thereafter he did biopic ‘Soorma’ and now with ‘Arjun Patiala’, the comic side of the actor is finally making it to the screen.

However, there’s one genre in which the audience has not seen Diljit yet, and that is action. Talking about the same in an exclusive word with ETimes, Diljit Dosanjh said that even for action one needs to have emotion and he doesn't understand exaggerated action sequences.
“No one has so far offered action movie to me, I have been approached more for serious genre roles in Bollywood. Also, I don’t understand the action which has no logic behind it. If you are a superhero and your punch makes a car fly away, it’s justified, but if you are not a superhero and yet the car is flying because you punched, doesn’t that appear weird?” said Diljit when we asked him on why we haven’t seen him in an action movie so far.
Further, when we asked him, how open he is to the respective genre, the actor said, “If somebody offers me an action role, and that segment is actually the demand of the script, I will say yes. However, again action without any reason doesn’t make sense to me. According to me, for action also you need emotion. If there’s no emotion behind it, then what are you exactly fighting for.”
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Arjun Patiala’ is all set to make it to the theatres tomorrow on July 26. The movie is from the genre of comedy spoof, and feature Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in the lead alongside Diljit Dosanjh. With this movie, for the first time the fun side of Diljit Dosanjh as an actor will make it to the Bollywood front.
