KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Muna Karki, former government secretary Arjun Karki's spouse who suffered serious injuries after an attack in her Sanepa-based residence, died on Monday afternoon.  

Karki who was rushed to Star Hospital breathed her last while undergoing treatment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Santosh Tamang.

She was found critically injured after the attack with sharp weapons inside the kitchen. 

Likewise, 22-year-old Bijaya Chaudhary, a worker in their house, was founding hanging from the ceiling with a cord inside the kitchen.

DSP Tamang said that Karki had sustained serious head injuries.

The sad incident took place when former secretary Karki was not in his home.  

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the house worker committed suicide after killing the former secretary's wife.

DSP Tamang said that they have launched a probe into the incident.
