KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said dissatisfaction over the government’s working style has been increasing even among the leaders of the ruling parties.

He said this while addressing a programme commemorating the first death anniversary of Nepali Congress Kathmandu constituency-8 regional president and the central treasurer of Lokatantrik Newa Khala, Juddha Ratna Bajracharya today. “The government is on the path of ‘talking much but working less’ and it has also started threatening even the intellectuals to divert attention from its ineptness,” he said.

He even criticized his own party’s role in parliament saying, “The main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, is like the government when it comes to its performance in parliament. This is why the country has not been able to make any headway in development.”

Leader Singh underscored the need for the Nepali Congress to be more organized for playing the appropriate role of the main opposition party. He also said that every Nepali Congress person has the responsibility to make the party stronger in Kathmandu. He said the late Bajracharya was an adept organizer in the NC. NC central member Nabindra Raj Joshi remembered the late Bajracharya for his significant role in the country’s democracy movement and that the party could learn from his capability.

NC Kathmandu president Sabuj Baniya also recalled the leadership qualities of the late Bajracharya. Bajracharya, who had served as the NC Kathmandu constituency-8 committee president twice, died due to brain hemorrhage on November 17, 2017 at age 63. RSS
