KATHMANDU, Mar 25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed serious objection against the election report of the European Union Election Observation Mission.


Speaking at a program of National Election Observation Committee where it published it report on elections, today, PM Oli said, “EU must revise its report.”

The EUEOM in its final report on the recent stated that the Proportional Representation (PR) system has the consequence of enhancing the participation of the Khas Arya in the legislature. “This contravenes international standards on equality. Affirmative action measures should not be used to justify a system which has the impact of aggravating ethnic and gender inequality,” it opined.


Ministry of Foreign Affairs also objected on the report issuing a press statement on Wednesday for making what it calls unwarranted comments about political issues that have already been settled and challenging the provisions of the Constitution of Nepal.


PM Oli stressed that no one has the right to demolish the Nepalese Citizen. He added, “We returned those, who were come for spreading religious propaganda, so EUEOM took revenge on the name of election observation.”
