Envoy Acharya presents credentials to Indian President Kovind

KATHMANDU, March 13: Nepali Ambassador to India Nilambar Acharya has presented his credentials to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind amid a special ceremony at Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Nepali Ambassador to India Nilambar Acharya has presented his credentials to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind amid a special ceremony at Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday.


While receiving the credentials, President Kovind welcomed and congratulated Acharya as the ambassador of Nepal to India.

During the meeting, Ambassador Acharya conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President and the people of India.


Acharya expressed commitment that he would make, during his tenure, his sincere efforts in promoting age-old, close and multidimensional ties subsisting between the two countries.


Meanwhile, the Indian President asked the Nepali ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to the president, the prime minister and the people of Nepal.


Acharya had reached New Delhi to assume his duties on February 18, 2019.
