KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The government employees working at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) have decided to contribute certain amounts of their monthly salaries to assist victims of the recent floods and landslides.
Publishing a notice on Wednesday, Spokesperson Narhari Ghimire stated that the Commissioner, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Undersecretary, and other employees of the CIAA will provide financial assistance for the flood and landslide victims.

As per the decision, the chief commissioner and four commissioners will donate their seven days' salary to support the monsoon-induced disaster victims.
Additionally, the Secretary will contribute five days' salary, while joint secretaries and undersecretaries will provide three days' salary. Section officers or similar-level employees will donate two days' salary, and other employees will contribute one day’s salary.
The collected amount will be deposited into the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund account.
The death toll from the recent floods and landslides has reached 228, with 25 people still missing. Police officials said a total of 158 people were left injured in floods and landslides across the country. They are currently receiving treatment.
