KATHMANDU, August 21: Government employees distributed leaflets at the gates of Singha Durbar, demanding the government introduce an employee-friendly Civil Service Act.


The employees distributed leaflets at the east, west and south gates of Singha Durbar during office hours, demanding a federal civil service act be passed by the current session of the federal parliament, including the demands raised by the trade unions.

Nepal Civil Servants Employee’ Union, Nepal Government Employees Organization, National Employees Organization of Nepal (Civil), Unified Nepal Government Employees Organization and Nepal Madheshi Civil Servants Forum have been jointly holding protest programs under the banner of trade union network.


The employees distributed leaflets to high level government officials, employees and commoners who entered the Singha Durbar. According to the said network, from tomorrow morning to September 2, black banners with the demands of employees will be placed in all offices. Similarly, the employees will work with black bands around their arms.
