The embankment constructed using stones and wires to the Sunbora River measured 42 metres in length while Syali River's embankment spanned 22-metre.

With the construction of the embankments, the land owned by around 300 families is now safe from being swept away, according to Ward No-4 Chairperson Gyan Bahadur Bista.

The local authority has further allocated Rs 1 million for the construction of a 35-metre embankment at Sunbora River and 30-metre embankment in the Syali River in the current fiscal year, shared Chairperson Bista.

Similarly, the construction of a building for the use of commercial purposes has begun at Asaina of Shuklafanta Municipality-4. The ward office decided to construct the building as it seeks possible ways to increase income, contributing to the promotion of the local market.

According to ward chair Bista, the construction works are at the initial phase and the new infrastructure which will have earthquake-resistant features is likely to be ready for use within the current fiscal year.  RSS
