According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, one person died due to the attack of a wild elephant in a tea garden located in Haldibari Rural Municipality-2.  


According to Spokesperson at the District Police Office Jhapa Khagendra Rijal,  Giren Karmakar, 53, a resident of Bhadrapur Municipality-7, was trampled to death by an elephant while picking wild mushrooms in Mahendra Pokharel's tea garden this morning.
