KAPILVASTU, May 28:  An electrician died from electrocution while repairing a transformer in Rangapur, Yashodhara Rural Municipality-6, Kapilvastu. The incident occurred at around 8:30 on Monday.


Harish Chandra Mishra, 32, an employee of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Taulihawa Distribution Center, from Yashodhara-2, Ganeshpur, perished in the accident.

According to the police, the power supply was disrupted when a transformer in Rangapur was damaged due to storms and rain. Mishra died due to an electric shock while repairing that transformer.


The dead body has been taken to Kapilvastu for a postmortem. Police said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
