CHITWAN, May 5: Chairperson of the ruling CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the election scenario is in favor of the ruling coalition parties. Nepal arrived in Chitwan to address a mass meeting to be organized today by the ruling coalition parties.

"We have made good arrangements for the poll. It would be good if the coalition joins hands in all places for the election," said the former prime minister, urging one and all to make the alliance victorious in the election.
In another context, he said that efforts were on to make NC’s rebel candidate withdraw his mayoral candidacy in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. The coalition has allocated the mayoral seat of the metropolis to the alliance partner, CPN (Maoist Center).
"We have been collaborating with all parties for political changes. Cooperation will yield success. Independent poll candidates from the alliance should withdraw their candidacies and support the official candidates from the coalition parties."
