“Voters have been well educated on how to vote confidentially. Voters are well aware that they will have to enter the polling area from one lane and return back from different lane after casting votes. They know how to use rubber stamp and how to fold it and drop it into box,” said Prem Prasad Sanjel, regional chief of the election office, Biratnagar. “We have also made it easier for the voters to get their details by posting charts at walls in the polling centers,” he added.
Sanjel stated that some polling stations have been categorized as extremely sensitive and extra security has been managed there. “For instance, Morang shares border with India. So, there are centers where we need to take extra care,” he said.
According to CDO of Morang, Ram Prasad Acharya, the border has been sealed and security provision in Morang has been well managed.
