SIRAHA, July 30: A 75-year-old man was killed by an unidentified group at his home in Dhangadhimai Municipality–11, Aamtol, Siraha, on Tuesday night.
The attackers struck Phanilal Yadav with sharp weapons on his head and body around 1 am. He died en route to the hospital, according to family members.

Following the incident, locals blocked the East-West Highway in protest, accusing police of delayed response and negligence. They also raised slogans against political interference and the influence of middlemen in law enforcement.
Police said the motive behind the killing remains unknown and that investigation is underway.
