KANCHANPUR, March 19: An elderly home located at Vedkot Municipality – 7 of Kanchanpur has been operating under donors' fund. 

The senior citizens have been spending their days with support of clothes, food and other donations coming from the donors. 

"We have been sending appeals to the donors as we have been receiving little fund from the government authorities," said Bahadur Bista, who has been taking care of the senior citizens. 

The District Development Committee (DDC) and Vedkot Municipality has been providing Rs 150,000 in annual expenses to the elderly home, which is far from being enough for repairing and renovating the necessary infrastructure. 

The senior citizens and the facility are being spared the trouble for searching for food commodities, clothes and bed sheets solely due to the donors' fund. RSS
