RAUTAHAT, Sept 7: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) strongly reacted against a tweet posted by CPN-UML Leader Shankar Pokhrel at the district headquarters, Gaur on Wednesday morning.
Protesting against the tweet, the cadres affiliated to UDMF burnt an effigy of Pokhrel.
District Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSF-N) Ram Niwas Yadav said the Madhesi citizens were offended by Pokhrel’s tweet.
“The language and words used by Pokhrel on his tweet regarding the Madhesi citizens were highly offending,” said Yadav.
Pokhrel later deleted his tweet following the protest.
