KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has informed that effective and reliable security has been arranged for the first phase of elections of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly for Sunday.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the ministry on Saturday, Secretary Mohan Krishna Sapkota informed that the ministry has made all necessary arrangement for Sunday’s election to be held in 32 districts and added that the ministry has arranged all necessary workouts as planned by the Election Commission.

Secretary Sapkota claimed that the ministry has made preparation based on previous successful security arrangements, which allows voters to exercise their voting rights without fear, in peaceful manners. Preventive security arrangements have been made to avoid any unpleasant situations.
According to the ministry, three circles of security arrangements have been made to cover the polling centers and human settlements within 10 to 30 minutes in case of untoward incidents. The security forces are deployed to monitor the situation even by air.
The ministry has informed that the situation is under control despite anti-election incidents. The ministry has collected illegal weapons and has arrested 400 cadres of Biplav-led Nepal Communist Party.
