KATHMANDU, June 30: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has started gathering comprehensive data on the activities conducted by national and international organizations, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in the education sector.
A public notice has been issued by the ministry, requesting that this information be submitted within 15 days.
This initiative, led by Education Minister Sumana Shrestha, seeks to address the government's current lack of a systematic information system regarding the number and activities of NGOs in education, as stated by Minister Shrestha’s private secretariat.
The secretariat further mentioned that once this information is collected, the ministry will focus on identifying challenges related to resource allocation in the education sector and finding potential solutions.
