Education an undying process

Education an undying process

What is education? To many, it is a mere process of learning and graduating. This perception is particularly popular among younger pupils. However, in my opinion, education is an endless venture; it is a journey, not a destination. Education serves as the third eye. The first two natural eyes help us see physical things, whereas, the third, helps us realize our virtual surroundings. This realization continues throughout our lives. Those who have grasped the zest of education have succeeded in their respective fields. For instance, if Abraham Lincoln had not educated himself about the importance of human liberty and dignity, he would not have abolished slavery. Similarly, if the Wright brothers had not realized the need for humans to fly, we’d probably still be bounded to rely on other mediums of transportation.

I am not against the academic degree. It’s obvious that education has a broader spectrum. Remember, while the king is respected in his kingdom, an educated person gains worldwide recognition.  Education is very essential for the growth of the society. It is education that encourages us to be compassionate towards others and respect contradicting beliefs. Education gives us the knowledge about the history of our society and the societies outside. It helps us gain insights into future and understand the value of our heritage.

Time and time again, we have seen people gaining respect through education. An individual’s ability has also influenced others to start better lives. It is evident that education is the primary right of every child. And, kids in schools should learn to practice academic knowledge into practicality. In this way, education can change lives. Our life keeps providing us opportunities to learn, making education is a continual process.
