Economic journalism fellowship in memory of Sanjay Neupane

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON) and Fact Research and Analytics Research Company have signed an agreement to establish Sanjay Neupane Economic Research Fellowship amid a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON) and Fact Research and Analytics Research Company have signed an agreement to establish Sanjay Neupane Economic Research Fellowship amid a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Monday.


As per the agreement, the fellowship will be provided to SEJON members in order to promote research-based and objective coverage of economic issues.

The fellowship has been named in the memory of late Sanjay Neupane, a noted economic journalist and former vice-president of SEJON. 


According to the agreement, the company will provide Rs 50,000 each year to the fellow. The amount will be increased by 10 percent each year. The fellows will be selected and announced each year on the occasion of SEJON anniversary.
