According to the earlier decision of the EC in line with the Clause 26 of the EC Act, 2073 BS, if the candidates earlier penalized for not furnishing spending details are included in the close list submitted by the political parties under the PR electoral system of November 20 elections, they can furnish their expenditure details by October 22 office time.

As Saturday is the deadline to examine the applications of the candidates whether the fines have been settled, it can be considered clearance if they pay the penalized amount on the stipulated day, the EC sources said.

Arrangement has been made for the concerned candidates to pay the penalized amount at the province and district election offices within the stipulated date and time, the EC sources said.

Spokesperson of EC's PR System Guru Prasad Wagle warned that the candidates who fail to settle the penalized amount within the given deadline would be removed from the closed list.
