The Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from Janata Samajwadi Party candidate for House of Representatives from Banke Constituency-2, Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rai.
The EC sought clarification from Rai based on the complaints of derogatory statements. A complaint was filed accusing Rai of giving a disrespectful statement against the Chairperson of Duduwa Rural Municipality, Surendra Chaudhary (Pappu) in the course of election campaigning.
