KATHMANDU, Feb 19: The Election Commission (EC) has called upon the political parties to register for the by-election to be held in Chitwan constituency number 2 on April 23.
The EC, through a notice, called on the parties for registration between February 22 and 28 for contesting the by-election. The parties whose registration is valid till February 17 have been asked to register for the by-election.

Candidates wishing to contest election from this constituency will have to file their nomination papers on April 3. The next day, people can file complaints against the candidates. On April 5, the EC will publish the final name list of the candidates. The next day, the EC will allot election symbols to the candidates.
