Nepal registers an easy win against Hong Kong

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Nepal defeated Hong Kong by nine wickets in the Asia Qualifiers of the ICC U-19 Men's World Cup.

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Nepal defeated Hong Kong by nine wickets in the Asia Qualifiers of the ICC U-19 Men's World Cup. 



Nepal achieved a relatively small target of 121 runs in 22 overs for victory. This is the third victory of Nepal in this competition. Nepal defeated Singapore in the first match on Friday and Kuwait in the second match on Saturday.

Akash Tripathi scored an unbeaten 64 and Uttam Thapa Magar also scored an unbeaten 39 to give Nepal an easy win. Nepal's opening batsman Arjun Kumal was dismissed after scoring 16 runs.


In the match in UAE, Hong Kong won the toss and batted first and scored 120 runs in 46.3 overs. When Parth Bhagwat was dismissed for 36 runs, Mohammad Zahir scored 29 runs for Hong Kong. Ahan Trivedi scored 11 runs. For Nepal, Hemant Dhami took 3 wickets, Akash Chand and Subhas Bhandari took 2/2 each and Dipesh Kandel took 1 wicket.
