BAITADI, Dec 2: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck last night with its epicentre at a location across the border in India lying 15 km northwest of Darchula.
The earthquake struck at 10:37 PM, according to Kapil Maharjan, Technical Assistance at the Seismological Centre in Surkhet.
The details on damages caused by the earthquake have not yet arrived, Darchula Police Chief, Kedar Khanal, shared.
All the police stations in the district have been instructed to collect the figures on the damages, he added. The ripple of the earthquake was felt in all the far-western districts including Darchula. RSS
