BAITADI, Oct 16: Earthquake tremors were felt in the hill districts of Sudurpaschim Province including Baitadi this morning. Bal Bahadur Tamang, head of Earthquake Monitoring Center Surkhet, said that an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on the Richter Scale occurred at 9:26 in the morning today, with Batan in India near Darchula as the epicenter.
The District Police Office, Baitadi, said that although the earthquake was felt, no information about the damage was received.
