BHAKTAPUR, April 3: A man, who was staying with his wife in a guest house in Bhaktapur after returning home from Dubai four days ago, committed suicide.

Basant Poudel, 28, a permanent resident of Taplejung, was living with his wife Sumitra KC, aged 24, at a guest house in Dadhikot Sikaritar, Ward No. 4, Suryabinayak Municipality-4 Dadhikot, committed suicide.

The police said that Poudel hanged himself on the steel bar on the outside of the second floor of the same guest house with a black rubber rope used for tying things on a motorcycle, around his neck.

Bhaktapur Police Range said that after the incident, a team of police personnel led by Sub-inspector Shyam Mani Guragai from Dadhikot police division has cordoned the incident site.

SP Prajit KC said that a team led by Police Inspector Sanjiv Oli has been deployed from Thimi Police Circle for further investigation and to secure the incident site. The incident site is four km from Thimi Police Circle. The body was taken to KMC Hospital, Duwakot for post mortem.
