Driver’s license services suspended nationwide due to system failure

Efforts are underway to resolve the problem, the department said.

KATHMANDU, July 4: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has announced the suspension of all services related to driver’s licenses starting today after facing a system malfunction.



In a notice issued Friday, the department stated that services connected to the Electronic Driving License (EDL) system, the online application portal, and the emergency license system have all been halted due to technical issues.

Efforts are underway to resolve the problem, the department said. All related services will remain suspended until further notice.
