Prakash Sharan Mahat appointed as NC spokesperson

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has been appointed to the post of the party’s spokesperson. NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba handed over the duties of party spokesperson to Dr Mahat today. 

PM Deuba said he hoped that the appointment of Dr Mahat would contribute to further strengthening the party organization, making the party’s presence more vital, dynamic, and effective. Prior to this, Dr Mahat was the Joint-General Secretary of the party. 

Earlier at the 14th General Convention of NC, Dr Mahat lost the elections for the post of General Secretary.
