Home Minister Nidhi made the statement when the EC as part of final preparations for the May 14 elections has set up the offices of the chief returning officers in all 75 districts and have almost completed the printing of ballot papers.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Nidhi had briefed the State Affairs Committee of the Parliament about the preparations of poll and a three-tier security strategy that would be adopted during the elections.

After completing the most of the logistical and administrative work at EC headquarters, the election body is now decentralizing its preparations.

On the other hand, DPN Nidhi's own ministry, the Ministry of Home Affairs has already recruited temporary police across the country.

Meanwhile, the government has also registered a new constitution amendment proposal to take agitating Madhes-based parties on board the elections. However, the Madhes-based parties are yet again demanding for the review of the amendment proposal.
