This afternoon, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide, with moderate rainfall likely in several hilly areas and scattered showers across the Terai. The MFD has cautioned that heavy downpours may occur in isolated parts of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the Terai belt of Lumbini.

By tonight, conditions are expected to stay mostly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall is likely in many areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki, with a few other places also expected to receive showers. One or two spots in Gandaki’s hill regions and Lumbini’s Terai are particularly at risk of experiencing heavy rain, the division warned.
