KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) is to take action against vehicles, operating their service from Kathmandu to Sindhuli-Bardibas via Dhulikhel if they are found taking more than the determined transport fare.
The passengers have been complaining after the vehicles did not follow the fare adjustment made by the Department on February 7.
The Department had made the transport entrepreneurs alert by issuing a notice on second week of August as frequent request of the Department went in vain.
Department Spokesperson Basanta Adhikari said that the Department has received the complaint that the vehicles operating their service along the route have been charging double fare than the determined fare.
The vehicle entrepreneurs have been charging more than Rs 1,000 as transport fare against Rs 512 determined by the Department for 188-km Kathmandu-Dhulikhel-Sindhuli-Bardibas route. RSS
