KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The Sajha Party has expressed deep concern over the government’s unwillingness to address the demands of Dr Govinda KC who is on a fast-unto-death strike for the last 21 days.
Issuing a press statement, the party has urged the government to address the demands of Dr KC and implement the past agreements. Lamenting that the government is not doing so, the party asked, “Does the government want to kill Dr KC?”
This is Dr KC’s 19th hunger strike demanding reforms in the country’s health sector.
Dr KC is staging his strike at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH). He has refused ICU care and is on oxygen support.
