DoC seizes 129 gas cylinders

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: Acting on the complaints filed by the locals, an inspection team from Department of Commerce (DoC) raided a gas dealer shop and seized around 129 Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders at Sorakhutte on Tuesday.



Around 129 cylinders were seized from Manakamana Gas Depo owned by Roshan Lal Raj, DoC Officer Kamal Bahadur Thapa informed. [break]



Locals alleged Raj of creating artificial scarcity in the market by hiding gas cylinders. However, Owner Raj argued that he had just received the cylinders.



The seized cylinders were later sold to customers.
