Milk producers in Chitwan urge consumers to increase consumption of dairy products during festivals

CHITAWAN, Sept 30: The District Milk Producers' Cooperative Association has appealed to one and all to increase the consumption of dairy products including milk, curd, butter, ghee, paneer during the upcoming festivals.

CHITAWAN, Sept 30: The District Milk Producers' Cooperative Association has appealed to one and all to increase the consumption of dairy products including milk, curd, butter, ghee, paneer during the upcoming festivals.


President of the association, Kishore Bagale, has called for support to marketing and sales of dairy products during the near-coming festivals of Dashain, Tihar, Chhath etc. Stating that a problem has surfaced in the marketing of milk, he said it is necessary to increase the use of Nepali dairy products in the Nepali kitchens to address this problem.

Meanwhile, vice president of the association, Rameshwar Goulil, said that the milk producers have not received the last three installments for the milk they sold. If the situation remains then the dairy producer farmers will be forced to resort to protest before the festival starts.


A total of 115 cooperatives are affiliated to the Association.
