KHOTANG, June 26: As the cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection eases across the country, the District Administration Office (DAO) of Khotang has decided to issue vehicle passes for people traveling out of the district.

The vehicle pass will be issued by the administration with the approval from the DAO of the destination district, as the prohibitory order for the control and prevention of the COVID-19 across various districts in the country has been eased to some extent. 

Also, an application must be submitted to and approved by the District Administration Office of Bhaktapur to receive the acceptance letter needed to enter the Kathmandu Valley. 

In a statement released on Friday, Bikal Shrestha, assistant chief district officer informed the media about the need for approval from the district administration office of the destination district to receive the vehicle passes in order to avoid travel restrictions to other districts apart from the Kathmandu Valley.

Although the enforced prohibitory orders caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in districts across the country are eased to some extent, the administration offices have decided to provide vehicle passes for travel purposes as restrictions have not been completely lifted.
