SC annuls writ petition on leader of opposition party

KATHMANDU, April 10: The Supreme Court rejected the writ petition demanding that Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should not be recognized as the main opposition party leader.

KATHMANDU, April 10: The Supreme Court rejected the writ petition demanding that Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should not be recognized as the main opposition party leader.


The writ petition filed by advocate Bimal Prasad Pokhrel was rejected by the bench of  Justices Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Manoj Kumar Sharma.

Advocate Pokhrel claimed that the leader of the party that gave a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister should not be recognized as the main opposition party leader.
