Discussion on Jammu and Kashmir issue held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized an interaction on Jammu & Kashmir Issue in Light of UN Resolutions on Sunday.

The program was attended by Nepali parliamentarians, think thanks, media persons and civil society members.

Pakistanis observe solidarity day every year on February 5 calling for the right of self determination by Kashmiris. Mazhar Javed, Pakistan’s ambassador to Nepal underscored the need for resolution of the dispute as per wishes and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir; guaranteed to them by UN resolutions.

He also dwelt on human rights dimension of Jammu and Kashmiris.
