Diktel-Jayaram road disrupted

KHOTANG, July 5: The Diktel-Jayaram road section in Khotang district along the Mid Hill Highway has been disrupted following a landslide at Barkhetar of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality in the district. 

The landslide that occurred on Wednesday night has obstructed the only highway to enter the district, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded, said a transport entrepreneur Ram Kumar Hingmang. 

Currently, works to clear the debris are underway by the use of excavators of the Municipality, Khotang Drinking Water Project and other projects. Mayor of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality Iwan Rai said excavators of Nagarjun Company are also used to clear the obstructions.  RSS
