Expressing concern over growing intolerance and social tensions in the name of religion and faith, the organization said the true purpose of religion is not division but the promotion of love, compassion, truth, forgiveness, and peace.

The society urged the Nepal government to immediately begin a national dialogue involving religious leaders, scholars, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders from all faiths.

It also called on followers of Sanatan, Buddhist, Kirat, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, and other religious traditions to respect one another's beliefs and work together to strengthen social harmony, peaceful coexistence, and national unity.

The statement added that, if needed, the organization is ready to assist in facilitating and coordinating an impartial, inclusive, and peaceful dialogue.

The society also urged all Nepalis to rise above hatred and division by embracing the shared values of love, tolerance, and humanity, and to work together to build a peaceful, prosperous, and civilized Nepal.

It further called on everyone to embrace the spirit of "We are Nepalis first" and unite in restoring Nepal's identity as a global center of peace and spirituality
