KATHMANDU, Dec 19: The fire that broke out in Tokha Municipality-6, Dhapasi of Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon has been completely brought under control.
According to SP Nawaraj Adhikari at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the fire broke out in the brick house of Bhai Kaji Shrestha.
Taplejung fire brought under control
Police have suspected that the fire may have started after the residents turned off a gas-fueled fire and turned on an electricity switch nearby the gas cylinder after a while. Since the house is inside a private compound, the fire did not spread anywhere else.
According to locals, the fire broke out around 5 pm. Various fire engines from the valley were used to douse the fire.
SP Adhikari informed Republica that there was no human casualty in the fire. He added that the cause of the fire and other details of property damage are currently under investigation.
