KATHMANDU, August 14: People around the world who believe in Lord Krishna are celebrating his birthday today with gusto. They have thronged Krishna temples in different parts of the country.
It is believed that he had power to mesmerize people by playing his flute. He is believed to have been born as the eighth avatar of God Bishnu into the family of Basu Dev and Dewaki. A legend has it that his birth was intended to emancipate the humanity from the oppression of Demon called Kamsa.
