KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Dengue fever has affected 9,486 people across Nepal from January to September 13, according to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD). During this period, the disease resulted in six fatalities.
In the first 13 days of September alone, 2,633 new cases were reported. The highest number of infections has been reported in Tanahun, with 1,435 cases. Other areas with significant numbers include Kaski with 1,318 cases, Parbat with 880 cases, Kathmandu with 871 cases, and Chitwan with 628 cases.

Infections in other districts remain below 500. The EDCD states that dengue has spread to 76 districts, with the exception of Humla.
