KATHMANDU, Nov 23:  The Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded with the government to bring the assailant of Fida Hussein Miya to book and declare him martyr.

Issuing a press release on Friday, NC said, "The government has failed to bring the murderers of Fida Hussein, who was killed in a broad daylight, to book. The main opposition party lashed out at the government saying that it could not maintain law and order make the Nepali people feel the presence of it."

On November 21, motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on 52-year-old Hussein of Duhabi Municipality-9, while he was heading to his office at Ranigaun.

Hussein, the younger brother of Mehadi Hussein, the ward chairman of Duhabi Municipality-9 representing NC, was a staffer of Nepal Electricity Authority.
