Mugu viral fever kills more than a dozen

More than a dozen have died due to a viral fever outbreak in Mugu. Children and elderly are suffering from cough and cold, pneumonia and viral fever in the district. The viral fever has spread excessively in Gamtha, Righa, Ratapani, Kotdada, Shreekot and the surroundings. As temperature dips, the number of people suffering from fever is increasing significantly.  

Rukum locals pay Rs 30 for salt

 Residents of East Rukum are forced to pay three times more to buy a packet of salt.  The situation is even worse in remote areas of the district.

Fake receipts for govt employees an ache in Khotang

Government employees riding state owned motorbikes in Khotang have been found to submit fake bike maintenance receipts from different motorcycle workshops of Diktel, Halesi and Mahure.    

Biplav-led CPN cadre arrested       

Police on Saturday arrested a cadre linked to Biplav-led Communist Party Nepal (CPN) in a search and sweep operation launched after a Nepali Congress candidate was injured in a booby trap in the district.

Manmohan Duhabi Gold Cup from Dec 9
