Death toll hits 3 in jeep accident in Sindhuli

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The death toll in a jeep accident in Sindhuli has risen to three people. District Police Office, Sindhuli informed Republica that the deceased include 42-year-old Prithvi Bhujel of Golanjor Rural Municipality-6 Nakajoli, Sindhuli, 45-year-old Uday Bahadur Masrangi and 35-year-old Pawan Masrangi of the same place.


They died at the District Hospital, Sindhuli at 10.30 AM while undergoing treatment.

On Thursday morning, around 9:30, a jeep (Ba 20 Ch 8283), en route to Sindhuli from Golanjor along the BP Highway near Chiyabari, Kamalamai Municipality-2, got out of control and met with an accident.


Eleven people were injured in the accident. Among them, the police said that the condition of the jeep driver, 32-year-old Tikajung Rai (Hayu) of Golanjor-6 is critical. The injured are receiving treatment at the District Hospital, Sindhuli and Dhulikhel Hospital, Kavrepalanchok.
