PALPA, June 23: The death toll in Palpa landslides has climbed to three.


Earlier on Monday evening, authorities said that two dead bodies were recovered from the Sammobari area of Tansen Municipality-11 after four vehicles were hit by rain-triggered landslides on the Palpa-Gulmi road.

Another person who was critically injured in the incident breathed his last in course of treatment at the  United Mission Hospital, Palpa, according to Chief District Officer of Palpa, Ramesh Neupane. 


"The landslides have damaged a tanker, a bolero jeep, a truck and a car. Two vehicles have been swept away by the landslide," Neupane told Republica Online.
