HETAUDA, Mar 27: Speaking during the special hour of today's Provincial Assembly meeting of Province 3 in Hetauda, the PA members demanded death sentence to the guilty in a girl rape case.
Issues of earthquake survivors and matters relating to the announcement of permanent capital of the province and its naming were also raised in the meeting. Nine PA members put their views in the special session.
Lawmaker Jeevan Dangol was of the view that guilty in the rape of girl deserved death penalty. Nepali Congress lawmaker Dangol, took the time to urge the provincial government to finalize the issue of its capital soon.
Another PA member Rita Majhi demanded a probe into alleged statement given by their deputy speaker Radhika Tamang about cow slaughter. "Verification of the statement is necessary as it can provoke ethnic conflict."
Balaram Poudel, PA member from the Nepali Congress also sought that the issues should be made clear. PA speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha chaired the meeting. RSS
