KATHMANDU, June 15: A book named Nyayako Abasan (Death of Justice) has been released in the capital city on Friday. The book is about the reflection of Gangamaya Adhikari, who is on hunger strike for justice.

The book published by the Save Gangamaya Campaign was prepared by journalist Ghanashyam Khadka with the documentation of Gangamaya's struggle for justice.

It was released jointly by Chairman of National Human Rights Commission Anup Raj Sharma, former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha, former minister Nilambar Acharya, journalist Kanak Mani Dixit and INSEC Chairman Subodh Raj Pyakurel at a programme.

They viewed that Nepal could not achieve prosperity unless victims like Gangamaya got justice.
Journalist Khadka informed that the book had covered the information since the arrest of those accused behind the murder of Gangamaya's son Krishna Prasad and the demand continued for expediting the decision on the case under consideration.

Then rebellion Maoist had killed Gangamaya's son Krishna Prasad after arrest on May 27, 2004.
Despite lodging FIR at Chitwan District Court, the decision was delayed much thereby avoiding justice to the victim's family. Complaining that justice was delayed, Gangamaya and her husband Nanda Prasad staged hunger strike several times. Nanda Prasad breathed his last during strike, while Gangamaya is still waiting for justice.

As Gangamaya said she would not perform the funeral rite of her husband till she got justice, the dead body of Nanda Prasad is still in the mortuary of TU Teaching Hospital.
