Dear Daughter

Dear Daughter

Please Remember,
To the whole world you might be one
But to one you are the Whole World
When in all doubt, confusions, forced obligations
Please Remember,
There is no voice more powerful than the one that echoes within and from you
Never let no biased, cruel, dominating voice ever tame you, ever stop you, ever question you,
When you ever look into the mirror and your mind tries to belittle you
Please remember,
Your beauty pierces through your skin, shade, weight, height, complexion
Let your beauty glow and spark through your bold fiery determination
When you ever feel a little less ornamented
Please remember,
No piece of jewelry, no heavily embroidered garment, no crystal will
Ever shine as bright as the confidence you will wear
When your dreams are ignored, questioned and mocked
Please remember,
You alone are capable of flying so high, eventually all questioning lips will be locked
When you ever feel that your own identity is at stake,
Please remember, you are not someone’s piece of cake
Any for every other struggle, challenge and pain
Let it be your learning, let it be your gain
Fly in the sky, let no one cut your wings
Climb the hill, without having to cling
Swim in the vast ocean, feel the breeze
Dance in the rain, plant your own trees
To the whole world you might be one
But to your mother you are the whole world!
