Dead body of wife recovered, search underway to locate husband’s body (UPDATE)

KATHMANDU, August 2:The dead body of the wife who went missing after being swept away by the flood along with her husband, has been recovered. 

District Police Office, Kapilvastu, said that a search operation is currently underway as the husband is still missing.

The couple went missing after drowning in Koili river in Banaganga Municipality, Kapilvastu.

Their 13-year-old son Neeraj Sunar, who was also swept away along with them, was, however, rescued by local residents. The body of the missing Laxmi was found one kilometer downstream the river, according to DSP JC Shah at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu.
